Wonderland!

Opening night of the Cabaret was a hit! Everyone was completely on, the food was fantastic and materialized in generous proportion, and the audience was sizeable and warm. I couldn't have asked for a better opening night. With everyone pulling together, we did it. No snow, so the Winter Wonderland Cabaret is kind of being Florida winter wonderland, but nobody's complaining.

How ironic that my song in last year's Cabaret was "Somewhere That's Green" from Little Shop of Horrors. Now, the somewhere that's green is under my fingernails, and in the curves of my ears. I still haven't gotten all the makeup off, and I'll be putting it on again tonight!

We're expecting a big house tonight, our final night, so you'll have to come early if you want to score a seat at one of the good tables. E-mail me if you need directions. Hope to see you at the show!

That just means that next year you have to sing, "It's not Easy Being Green." :-)

I totally second this!

I could sing something from Green Day.

I actually have an old English call-response folk song called "Green Grow My Nadgers-O"!

(Well, the singer *claims* it's an old folk song...)

Thank you for your e-mail, sweetie. :-)

Then there's "Greensleeves."

AWESOME! I'm personally fine with backstage photos (having already been seen in, um, states of undress online). Just ask folks before shooting.

Can you work without the flash during performance? It can be hella distracting. But the full florescents will be on over the stage, so you might not need flash anyway.

Yay! See you tonight. Definitely some on-stage shots. But only take pictures of me that don't make me look fat, okay?

Somebody needs to invent an anti-fat camera that only takes skinny shots. They'd be a billionaire! :-)

It cetainly worked out well for the Photoshop folks.

I dont know that one, but Green Grow the Rushes-O IS a folk song from England. Your song may be based on that one, perhaps?
