Last night I went to see Pirates 3 with a gang of Firstie girls, as organized by eclecticavatar. Three margaritas beforehand at Rock Bottom Cafe...wheeeee! My official favorite character in all the Pirate movies is Barbossa's Monkey. I know he's mostly CGI, but I want to snuggle his fuzzy monkey face with it's human expressions.

Today pheromone and I went wandering at the WBOS EarthFest. Lovely day for it. We got kettle corn and spent a long while listening to a great folk band, who interestingly enough were from a Christian commune.

So, is PotC worth seeing in a theater? I can't afford to go to the movies very often, but I was thinking on splurging to see this and Spiderman 3. However, a friend told me he has heard nothing but bad reviews. Should I wait for the DVD?

Well, it's 3 hours of movie for your money. Plenty of action and pirate-y goodness. I considered it worth my $10, but you'll be paying a lot more for it, I know. But I think you wouldn't hate it.

Yeah, I'd be paying twice as much, maybe a little more, depending on the conversion rate that given day.
