For the Name Your Own Price option, first you pick which neighborhood(s) you want to stay in. They will restrict their search only to those neighborhoods, to pre-screened hotels that all meet Priceline's specific standards. At that point you have to agree to buy the room if they can find it at your price, at whatever hotel in your selected neighborhood(s) that they can get. Start your bid ridiculously low, like $80 (go way lower than that if its not NYC, BOS or DC). If they can't get it at your price, you won't be charged. Then up your bid in increments of $5 or $10 until your bid is accepted.
