Veteran grower surrealestate helped me set up my first foray into urban container gardening. Here are lemon thyme, sage, parsley, red beauty sweet peppers, Portugal hot peppers, and yellow pear tomatoes (don't worry, sweetie, they're yellow!). If I clear off more of that half of the balcony, I can have more veggie growing room.

Yeah, that's a shame. No one can really get to this one, and while it doesn't get as much sunlight as I really should have, I figured it was worth a try.

People stopped stealing my potted plants from my porch when I coated the outside of them with a strip of vaseline. (I figure plant theft is not exactly premeditated, so if they pick up something and it's slimy they'll just put it back down again.)
