Good Morning

Feh, is anyone not having a party on Saturday 10/22? I've gotten 4 different Evites and invites now, and that doesn't include the general invites in people's LJs and such. Well, I committed to the very first invite that came, and the party's out in Malden so I can't do the hopping thing. Feast or famine.

There was line-running last night, and since no one else showed up it was just me and Iago. He brought Mike's Hard Berry Cider (none for you, since you didn't come), which we drank while running lines and chatting. I gave him the whole T@F background lore. I love that we're old enough now to have actual lore. :-)

We have lore? Oooh! We should start a tome to hold the lore! Do I know all the lore?

Wwwwwell, probably not all of the lore. But really, isn't that all for the best? :-)

Is this the "gall bladders" and "blown fuses" and "two crazy sisters" OH, MY! Lore? OR what?

[identity profile] plumtreeblossom.livejournal.com 2005-10-20 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, and puppie piles, deaths for all ages and occasions, Underbones....

Wait, puppie piles is considered "lore", now?

There haven't been many recently, that I recall. How 'bout you change that? :-)

I've got two wedding things. Until this year, I didn't have ANY wedding things in my life - this fall alone, I've got three. And one of those is my friend's mother getting remarried, so it's not just that I've hit "that age".
But at least I've only got two things to choose from and it was an easy choice (I dont know one of the couples all THAT well).

Hurrah for lore!

Funny thing, I've only been to 4 weddings in my whole long life, and one of them was my mother's. :-)

This will be my second wedding thing. The first was when I was about 12, and my parents were hired to play at the reception to my old daycare provider's wedding. Since we all knew her, we were all invited.
My parents were in a oldies cover band for a few years in the early 90s, to put that story in a bit more context.

But four isn't very many. I'd've thought you would have gone to more than that!

The people I know don't seem to get married. That's often not by choice. I just know a lot of single people. It would be nice if we all found our someones, and there were suddenly 50 weddings in 2 years. :-)

Everyone not having a party 10/22 is having one 10/29.

It's starting to get downright annoying. I mean, who announced a party for Halloween weekend with only two weeks notice? And it's not even a Halloween party! I'm assuming the did it in part to force it to be small and perhaps limit it to only those who "really care". I care, but am pre-committed. So it goes.

Speaking of which, let me know if you want to come along 10/29. The goings are good.

Amazingly, I'm free the 29th. Yep, I'll go.

And damned if I didn't just get ANOTHER invite for 10/22. All those boring summer weekends when everyone was out of town and I had no one to hang out with. Why cant the festivities be spread out over the whole year?
