Urban Cavewoman

It's imperative that I trim my hair soon. I'm looking positively Cro-Magnon these days. No, really. All I need is a bearskin wrap and I have an instant Halloween costume.

Yay anyway though, date night tonight with m'sweetie. But instead of going to a restaurant, I think I should roast him a huge rack of bison ribs over an open bonfire. I think he would enjoy that.

Mmm, bison. Can I come over? :-)

You can if you dress as a tribal witch doctor!

I can so picture that. He'd look great in the garb, wouldn't he?

He sure would, grass skirt and all!

Thank you for your post. Without it I might have forgotten to trim the jungle growing out of my nostrils before my hot date tomorrow!

SQUICKING! SQUICKING! SQUICKING!!!

Okay, trim away. But just remember not to mention it to your date!

You could try just braiding it, instead! Then you could weave coloured threads into it, and look all festive for your date!

Don't make me release the flying monkeys, now..... :-)

I've seen your sweetie tear into some meat. He'd LOVE that!

[identity profile] plumtreeblossom.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I think he would! Especially if it was something huge and prehistoric looking. But I'd need to have something napkin-like for him, because he can't stand greasy stuff on his hands. He's a gentleman caveman. :-)

Well, you do have cats! Or we could just take the animal skin off you and use that.

(Now I’m having fantasies of dressing up your cats as Saber-tooth tigers for Hallowe’en. :-)

I figured you'd find a way to get that bearskin off of me!

Like your hair?

Well come on, wouldn't a good cavewoman do that?

This post is worthless without a photo.
Specifically, a photo of you in a bearskin wrap, leaning over your cooking fire.
Make it so.

[identity profile] plumtreeblossom.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
If I had a camera with me at work, you'd have the photo already. But Halloween (and mayhaps even bonfires) are coming right up!

[identity profile] cowgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
And suddenly the song "Let's Get Mesolithic" is playing in my head! :-)

[identity profile] plumtreeblossom.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I had to look that one up. Fun song!

you could be ayla from clan of the cave bear for halloween. grab a sling and some rocks and you're ready to go.
PS: i am a fan of long hair. get it trimmed, don't hack it off. K? thanks :-)

[identity profile] plumtreeblossom.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I would never hack it short. I wore it that way in the 80s, but I'm a long-hair person. Even if it's cavewoman-y!

[identity profile] thesynergizer.livejournal.com 2007-09-06 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
my hair is really really long too, and i've never thought of it as cavewoman-y ... but maybe that's just me.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with the Cro-Magnon look?
