Hippie Stank

Not only did I have to walk most of the way to the T behind a patchouli skunk, but I also inadvertently got on the same train car with him. Dude, pew. You don't need to use the whole vial. I stopped wearing fragrance altogether a couple of years ago because friends said they avoided hugging me on account of it. Let all of us who live in close urban confines with other people exercise olfactory moderation in the scents we don.

Gah. It's still stuck in my nose.

Praise the Lord! At last there is one other person in this world who feels like I do about perfume on the bus, the train, or in other close quarters.
People have blind spots about their own foibles.

I used to be one of those stinkers. I had a fragrance oil called Dragon's Blood that I wore too much of all the time. Now if I want to smell it I'll put a dab on a lightbulb, but I don't wear it.

OMG, do I ever hate the scent of patchouli.

I got a sample of conditioner from Lush and used it before I realized it was patchouli. I couldn't stand myself.

I tend not to wear scent either. Sometimes it's just too much.

(Anyone want a Lush conditioner sample?)

And yes, it does stick in your nose for hours afterward.

*has to think a minute*

Oh! The festival a couple of years ago! (from whence cometh my userpic, different character)

Yes, this was my association as well. Actually, Mare, whenever I hear the word patchouli, I think of you, for this very reason.
