The Fair!

Yesterday beowabbit and I rented an itty bitty SmartCar and made our beloved annual trip to the Topsfield Fair. Oh how I adore that fair in all its agrarian goodness! We saw critters, watched part of a cow judging contest, marveled at a giant pumpkin, got characiture sketched (we look about 20 years younger in the kindly artist's rendering), ran into ayelle, zendzian and M (whose LJ name I don't know), and mostly, ATE!

Largely for surrealestate, a list of noms consumed by one or both of us, in rough chronological order:

Hot cinnamon roll
Gourmet macaroni & cheese
Polish plate (kielbasa, pirogies, potato pancake, stuffed cabbage)
Oranginas
Caramel apple
Apple crisp
Corn on the cob
Sicilian pizza slice
Buffalo tenders
Fries
Coffee
Hot chocolate
Another cinnamon roll
Fudge to bring home

Roll us home! We didn't get back to Quincy until very late. I wish we could spend a whole week at Topsfield Fair!

Yay, I'm so glad you had a great time, though still bummed we couldn't all go together again.

And while you two didn't eat as much food as the four of us consumed last year, you did manage to reach 2/3 of that total, so you guys definitely win. :)

We didn't ride the ferris wheel, but we did two haunted houses, and Jay went on a centrifuge ride. It wasn't the original centrifuge ride he wanted to go on -- that one got shut down temporarily because some teenage boys took off their clothes on the ride!

Glad you had such a great time!

I love fairs. Norman and I are especially fond of the New York State Fair. Thanks for reminding me that Topsfield is now; maybe I can get my overbusy husband to take a day off and go.
