Cat O'Clock
BenBen forced me awake at 3:00 AM. I gave him food (which he didn't need; he already had some) and I took a shower. Now what? I have to work today. If I'd wanted a child I would have had one...

4:00 AM - devastating blow to my sleeping head from rock hard cat skull. This continues every 30 seconds or so until I'm fully conscious Then i have a number of choices.
a) get up and feed Roxanne, and of course the other cats as well. This entails actually going downstairs. This will, however, get her to leave me alone.
b) continually fight her off until she stops. This could last up to an hour and almost never works.
c) kick her and all of the other cats out of the bedroom and close the door. The response to this has lately been to sit outside the door and systematically tear up pieces of the new carpet until I do a). If I don't get up for that she will head across the hall and fight with the opther cats until it wakes up my sleeping nine month old twins, meaning I have to get up now and will be up for a much longer time.
So she pretty much has my number. The fact that I'm obsessed with her helps me cope with the misery that she puts me through.
