Two Types of Cosmos

These pretty flowers are cosmos, and they're something special to beowabbit and me. They're a species of wildflower, but we cultivate them from seed in his yard, and they grow up to 6 feet of splendor. They've become a symbol to us, of our love and of the many things we do together that bring us joy. We planted yesterday, this time adding a new bed for more blooms.



Another type of cosmos we share comes in the form of our love of astronomy. We love planetariums, space documentaries, or setting up a telescope on a dark night (never particularly dark in either of our populous neighborhoods, but we enjoy it anyway). That's the other cosmos that is dear to us.

I was just thinking about the dual-duty that word does, so I had to post. :-)
