Happy Theatre Girl
I am overjoyed. I just had one of the best weekends of my entire life. Of all the many, many things I've done in theatre over the decades, adapting and directing Poe's The Cask of Amontillado is the one thing of which I am most proud. Moreso than any acting I've done, more than having my original play produced. This was the the best thing I've done, and my most treasured theatre experience. I don't know how I'll ever top it. I'll just have to try.
I don't think any of my team still reads LJ except
bluegargantua and
beowabbit, but I am endlessly grateful to them all. The show is done, and done well, if I do say so, and their talent made it possible.
When I think back on all the times I have "quit theatre forever," I'm so glad it was always the emptiest of promises. :-)
In pace requiescat!

I recommend that you write down what you remember about all of it, because a year from now, the memories may be hazy. At least, it works that way for those of us who are over 50. :-)

Amen!
I look forward to the next thing.
