Yesterday and Today
The first read-through of the radio dramas went very well. I'm still reeling over the fact that I have a lead role that I don't have to memorize! The play is "The Monkey's Paw." I love working in the accent, and the high emotional impact of the play. I've never done horror drama before.
But boy, did I ever have the heebie-jeebies both during and after the rehearsal. Between the last two plays I went to the creepy mini-bathroom upstairs and was jumpy as a cat. Coming home earlier than
vanguardcdk, I was afraid to open the apartment door, and wouldn't go in until I'd called the cats over. Those plays are scary.
Tonight I'm cooking pesto chicken & pasta for
beowabbit, who's coming over after work for dinner and coziness ("coziness" is a euphemism you can read anything you like into.). I haven't cooked all summer. I have way more stage fright about it than I do about acting. :-)

Not vary many people were still there by the time we read. S'okay though, it'll give you something new to watch at the next full-show rehearsal. :-)

And finally getting to hear the cast of The Monkey's Paw do the last several scenes just gave me the chills. I was amazed at how well
