Merci beaucoup, mon amour!

My birthday got even better once evening rolled around -- [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit had more surprises in store. In addition to the two sexxxy Omaha books he'd given me earlier in the day, he gifted me with a huge Berlitz French language kit! I've long been unhappy being monolingual (Seseme Street/high school Spanish doesn't count) and I've always thought French would be far more useful for the things I'm interested in. He's fluent in French (and a spreaker to varying degrees in umpteen other languages), so it's really quite perfect that I'll have him to practice with. Soon I won't have to get "French" phrases from Babelfish, like I did for the title of this post. He also gave me a supplementary guidebook to naughty French, a gift that will keep on giving... to him! ;-D

We had a wonderful dinner at Tu y Yo, to round out a glorious birthday. I never thought there was anyone who would want to make me feel like a princess.

He has. :-)

I should really post about how [livejournal.com profile] crunkindonuts managed to make me forget about two consecutive years of utter birthday hell with an incredible date and presents and generally royal treatment, showing me how people behave when they really care, when they put your all your needs and desires ahead of their own for just one day -- I had forgotten what that felt like. Thanks for reminding me, and congratulations on being treated the way you deserve at last.

Merci à toi, chère princesse! Je t’embrasses!

(I make you feel like a princess, do I? Hmmm... Not so much the princess trapped in the tall tower, but I can see you as Princess Leia, blasters firing.)

Hee! I'll borrow from [livejournal.com profile] lifecollage with this descriptor: Princess in Shining Armor.

*French kiss*

How embarrassing, after you told everybody how good my French is! Je t’embrasse. Pas d’s. But I’ll still kiss you in any language, even if I spell it wrong. :-)

ditto on the belated birthday wishes! i actually had your b-day programmed into my phone's calendar (the only one i use) - but sadly had no internet access until today, so i had no way of wishing you best birthday wishes! it sounds like you had a good one, though! yay!
