My birthday got even better once evening rolled around -- beowabbit had more surprises in store. In addition to the two sexxxy Omaha books he'd given me earlier in the day, he gifted me with a huge Berlitz French language kit! I've long been unhappy being monolingual (Seseme Street/high school Spanish doesn't count) and I've always thought French would be far more useful for the things I'm interested in. He's fluent in French (and a spreaker to varying degrees in umpteen other languages), so it's really quite perfect that I'll have him to practice with. Soon I won't have to get "French" phrases from Babelfish, like I did for the title of this post. He also gave me a supplementary guidebook to naughty French, a gift that will keep on giving... to him! ;-D

We had a wonderful dinner at Tu y Yo, to round out a glorious birthday. I never thought there was anyone who would want to make me feel like a princess.

He has. :-)

ditto on the belated birthday wishes! i actually had your b-day programmed into my phone's calendar (the only one i use) - but sadly had no internet access until today, so i had no way of wishing you best birthday wishes! it sounds like you had a good one, though! yay!
