short plays. It includes SURE THING, WORDS WORDS WORDS, UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, PHILADELPHIA, PHILIP GLASS BUYS A LOAF OF BREAD, and VARIATIONS ON THE DEATH OF TROTSKY.

Everyone, please reverently turn your eyes to the Higher Entity of your choice and pray with me that I am not coming down with bronchitis. Beseech her/him/it that your very dear friend Mare is merely experiencing a belated reaction to the airborne mold and pollen in the rehearsal shed that caused to so much respertory distress in the other actors last night. Anything more would be profoundly bad timing right about now. And for a person who hasn't had a cold in three years or the flu in eight, it would be profoundly ironic, as well...
