If you give your child too long a name, it will not fit on business cards, desk plates, name tags, conference badges, place cards or file tabs. This effectively cripples his or her career before it begins.

When this morning's Metro ran a front page headline about the first full face transplant in the US right next to a photo of MBTA General Manager Richard Davey (who is well known by name but not by sight) my first thought was "They did a fantastic job! He looks great!"
Yes, I e-mailed the Metro about it. :-)
