Seven Hugs To heliopsis:

1) He is a joy to ride to work with on the T, and even in times like these that aren’t the happiest for him, his courage and optimism shine through in the cloudy wake of a painful decision.

2) He’s the perfect "hat person," enhanced even further by hair longer than some people are tall.

3) It was wonderful watching him explore his talents as an actor, and I’m looking forward to the shows we’ll do together in the future. I think he’ll make a very fine Shakespearean.

4) He embodies an eternal youthfulness that will last until he’s 110. Meanwhile, he is a living example that being over 40 is only one of life’s many gateways, and a powerful and beautiful one it you let it be.

5) Though he’ll demure to hear it, he is among the very handsomest men I have ever known in my life. Before I knew him, I used to walk past the church where he was working outdoors and think "Who is that spectacular creature?" I’m glad we’re friends now, so I could find out. :-)

6) His huge rainbow umbrella could coax a smile from a mud-drenched badger.

7) Somewhere out there waiting is the very, very lucky man who will one day win his heart... and keep it.
