Party

So for those who expressed interest in going with me to the party Saturday night over on College Ave, come on along. I have the green light from Lou to bring friends, and these New Neighborhood parties are always great. It's probably easiest to meet up beforehand somewhere convenient, like maybe the Phero-Spatch house. 9:30 or 10:00-ish would be the time. By then I'll know whether I've been cast or not, so I'll either be celebrating or drowning my sorrows. Either way I'd love your company. Yay, Indian dinner out with bacall tonight. We're both craving it (the food, I mean). I've only in the last year learned that luscious tikka masala is not an authentic Indian dish. It's as British as yorkshire pudding. It's the chow mein of Indian food. That doesn't stop me from ordering it.

I can see clearly now

Yay! I just picked up my new glasses. The ones to replace the new ones I lost a few months ago. Now I don't have to depend on the fugly spare pair I've been getting by with. I love these. These aren't quite the tres chic affair that the lost Prada pair was, but they're funkier and cool-geekier and they look great. People at work are complimenting me.

So weird to be able to see people's faces at (gasp!) 20 feet away. Without glasses I can't see facial features more that 8 feet away or so, and can only recognize people at a distance through their body shape, stride, or what they're wearing. I sometimes forget that they usually can see me from afar, which is why I get asked "Why didn't you look when I waved a minute ago?" I was looking, but didn't know it was you waving. No more of that. :-)
