I can see clearly now

plumtreeblossomYay! I just picked up my new glasses. The ones to replace the new ones I lost a few months ago. Now I don't have to depend on the fugly spare pair I've been getting by with. I love these. These aren't quite the tres chic affair that the lost Prada pair was, but they're funkier and cool-geekier and they look great. People at work are complimenting me.
So weird to be able to see people's faces at (gasp!) 20 feet away. Without glasses I can't see facial features more that 8 feet away or so, and can only recognize people at a distance through their body shape, stride, or what they're wearing. I sometimes forget that they usually can see me from afar, which is why I get asked "Why didn't you look when I waved a minute ago?" I was looking, but didn't know it was you waving. No more of that. :-)
