The Best Birthday Ever

I honestly don't know how to thank everyone enough for the most elating, joyful, sexy birthday party I could ever imagine. Truly, I couldn't have fathomed a nicer way of ringing in the next year of my life.

Foremost thanks go to pheromone for hosting the event, and for all the hard work that goes into throwing a soiree of this size. Her friend Derek and her roommates are also to be heartily thanked, and that includes abbiethecat. Lots of gratitude and love, Jude, and I hope I can return the favor someday, in some way.

There were so many fantastic friends old and new, too many to list, but I am one lucky girl. There were friends from Theatre@First, the New Neighborhood gang, and some of the cooking group peeps, all mixing together and getting to know one another. There's at least one person from the cooking group who must come audition for T@F. I wish I could have spent more time with each person, but know that you each mean something special to me and I'm blessed to have every one of you in my life.

There was black light dancing, food and revelry, and the best singing of "Happy Birthday" I've ever heard -- it actually sounded good. Lovely gifts from several people that I'll enjoy very much, and a very special gift from several friends that literally made me jump up and down screaming like a little girl -- love and hair goodness to (I'll skip LJ tags here) Jude, Lauren, Derek, Neil, Jim, Megan, Chris, Amelia, Maitland, and Rob for collectively treating me to something I've been dying for: a trip to the expensive but awesome Judy Jetson's Salon for a cut and coloring. Don't worry, it will still be big, just better. :-)

And there was kissssssing. The first cloven orange mysteriously disappeared, as did the second one. But we didn't need them. Yummmm, kissy people. ;-)

It was the best birthday I've ever had. Now heading over to help Jude clean up. Love and gratitude to everyone for making it happen.
