February Begins
Feb. 4th, 2007 04:16 pmThank you to
sunspiral and
roozle for the wonderful hot foods party last night. The food was hot-n-spicy and there was plenty of it. When we arrived the party was in full swing, the house packed to the rafters. Even extroverts like me and
beowabbit and
majes found ourselves bug-eyed by the crowd density. As it got later, the crowd gradually thinned, and there was more room for chatting and meeting nice new folks. Wonderful time, great people.
beowabbit and I got back to my house after midnight for warm snuggly rest. He's better than any electric blanket.
In the morning it was time to head out to dim sum. The group was a more manageable a size than I'd thought, about a dozen people, with a good number of new folks showing up. It somehow ended up that all the new people were at one table and the "oldbies" were at the next table over, which I had planned against, but there was plenty of passing of food and dialogue between tables, and the Conversational Buoyancy Fairy was very good to both tables. Props to
lifecollage, who doesn't want thanks for her Mad Dim Sum Skillz, but is getting it anyway. :-)
Lovely weekend, this. I have laundry to do and paperwork to attend to. If not for those, I'd be under the covers with a book. :-)
