plumtreeblossom: (Be Friends)
Given the break-neck past of the past several days, I've missed about 4 days of my f'list. I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up, since the break-neck pace continues. So if you've posted anything that you definitely want me to read, point me over to it.

I haven't yet finished HP7, either. I've had to read in bits and spurts, wedging it in when I have a few minutes. But I've read about a quarter of it, plus the Epilogue (because I am who I am).

Can't wait for my next acupuncture treatment on Thursday. I wish I'd tried it years ago.

Because my schedule is so packed, I'm going to have to bail on the Commonwealth Shakespeare outing. I need a night of downtime in order to get through the weekend. But I hope everybody has a great time.

All my life I've self-labeled as an extrovert, but lately I've been asking myself if that's entirely true, or if I'm actually some shade of gray between extrovert and introvert. I personally have never seen any middle ground officially recognized between these two extremes by which a person with characteristics of both could identify, but I think it really ought be recognized. Bivert, or what you will. But I've decided that I really don't like the false polarity created by lumping all people into either the extrovert or introvert camp. It's divisive, and misrepresentative of, I'm quite certain, a large sector of humanity.

With me, there's a fluidity to it. I move in and out of phases of introversion and extroversion, sometimes lasting only minutes and sometimes lasting weeks. Sometimes I want to be in the thick of the social action, sometimes I want solitude. If asked whether I draw more energy from other people or from myself, the answer is "Sometimes other people, sometimes myself." Everything depends on context, but there's never any "always" when it comes to where I draw energy from. I would be very surprised if there wern't a lot of people who where the same way.
