plumtreeblossom: (snozzberries)
Yesterday and today, virtually every bite of food I've put in my mouth has tasted nauseating, or at least non-good. Last night I thought it was just a series of unfortunate food events throughout the day, including a thai curry that Jay confirmed was indeed yucky. But come on, when a chocolate peanut butter sundae from JP Lick's just isn't working for you, something is off.

This morning I choked down most of a butterscotch muffin (a kind I usually love) while trying not to taste it. Getting to work I wanted something familiar to eat with no surprises in it, like pizza. Now I have a slice, but I can barely force myself to swallow because it just tastes bad to me. I'll probably just throw it away. Somebody brought rugelach to the office for Rosh Hashanah and even that tasted bad enough that I couldn't finish the piece.

I'm glad I'm not invited to anyone's house for dinner today, because it would be dreadful to take two bites and have to say "I'm sorry, I can't eat this." I've never had my sense of taste go off before. I don't have a cold or any other known affliction. I'm not pregnant, but I'm PMSing pretty hard. Maybe I'll just buy a few cans of V8 and drink them and not muck around with food anymore today.

EDIT: You people have Baby Rabies. I am SO not pregnant, haven't missed a period, no latex breaks, nothing. It's not even due for a week (hello world! my cycle: let me tell you it). Sheesh, ya breeders! :-)
