I can barely believe this, but a dream I submitted was illustrated in the web comic slowwave.com. My dream is entitled Tortilla Chip Provider. What an enormous OMFG moment!

This has long been my favorite web comic, and I think it's a brilliantly creative idea that lets aficionados of the comic be involved. I submit dreams every now and then, but it's not often that I have dreams that would convert well to a comic strip (even the classic Very Easy wasn't one I submitted, since I just couldn't see it comicized easily). I think I've submitted 4 altogether over the last two years or so.

I clicked on it today like I do every week if I remember, and my first thought was "I've read this one before." Then it was "The woman looks vaguely like me." Then "Whoa!"

I might just buy the original (all the originals are for sale). But then, I think I'd also love it if some stranger bought it instead. In any case, it is complete, undiluted coolness when you click on your favorite comic, and you're in it. :-)

Poor [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit is in a lot of physical pain. He's having terrible trouble with his hip joint, and the cause is as yet undetermined. He bought a cane, but even with that, walking is excruciating. Last night he could only sleep in the bed for a few hours before all lying down positions became unbearable and he had to sleep sitting up in an arm chair.

I wish there were more I could do for him. It's hard feeling helpless when someone you love is in pain. I hope his doctor will see him as soon as possible. He's had to put so much weight on his "good" leg that its going to start hurting too if a solution isn't found.

It didn't stop him from enjoying his new Utilikilt, though. It finally arrived, and it was so exciting to see it on him. He looks gorgeous in it. Thank you to everyone who went in on that gift for him. I took a photo last night and will post it as soon as I can. He also got the bonus gift of a Massachusetts District Tartan scarf (see my post a few back regarding district tartans).

His health is on my mind today. I hope relief is around the corner very soon.
