Theatre Is Love
Aug. 9th, 2008 11:20 amLast night's show was the most wonderful night in Theatre@First's entire history. It was unforgettable and full of amazing goodness on so many levels.
Before the evening even began, we were completely sold out. Completely complete sell-out.
It was our traditional "Kilt & Corset Night," the special night during each run when the cast and crew shows up in sexy formal wear. Even never-dresses-up me wore my only fabulous frock and a tiara. My sweetie looked dashing in his Utilikilt.
Tom Champion, a beloved local notable, was guest announcer and he made the crowd roar with applause and laughter.
The one-act casts were all spot-on and the audience was fantastic.
But the real crescendo....
At curtain call, cast member
zendzian pulled his girlfriend
ayelle (a director of one of the plays) onstage from the audience. In front of a packed house and the beaming cast, he proposed to her!!!
Congratulations Nick and Amy!

Standing ovation. :-)
