plumtreeblossom: (yes we can)
Today brought news of some astonishing new polling numbers from Quinnipiac:

Florida: Obama 51%, McCain 43%

Ohio: Obama 50%, McCain 42%

Pennsylvania: Obama 54%, McCain 39%

In case you're not a poll geek, each of these is very, very, very, very good for Team Blue. They will fluctuate in the weeks ahead as polls do, but to see these rising leads in difficult states (particularly Florida) makes this liberal's heart bounce around the room.

It's surprising, but also not surprising, considering the monumental work being done not just by the campaign, but by millions of supporters, volunteers, and small donors giving $5, $10, or whatever they can.

Every day my faith grows stronger that we can do this.

If, like me, you want this to happen and wish for the Bush regime not to extend another 4-8 years. Please help if you can. It doesn't have to be money. If you go sign up at http://www.my.barackobama.com, you can search for local events in your area that need volunteers. When you sign up, the campaign will send you several emails a week but you can unsubscribe to the emails if you don't want them (and you won't get any non-campaign spam). If you'd rather not do that, just answering questions for a friend who's undecided helps a huge amount. If you don't want to do that, just making sure you're registered and getting to the polls on November 4th is the most important thing of all that you can do.
