Just a quick update since I won't get much computer time on this computer, but I did make it to Rochester and the train didn't even notice all the snow. My beloved drove all the way in from Quincy just to drive me and my suitcase to the T, and my housemate hauled my suitcase down the stairs for me, and chivalry is alive and well on Bay State Avenue! :-) The long Amtrak haul was quite pleasant and I had good reading material. You won't catch me in an airport at holiday time again!
Because I was able to borrow proper snow clothes, I was talked into going sledding by my brother and neice. This is out of character for me, but it made me remember how much I loved it as a kid. The snow was a foot deep and we had the virgin snow of the golf course to sled upon. The best part was watching Jack the Border Collie romping and leaping over the snowy hills. Dogs and snow are made for each other.
We don't know if some relatives from my father's side are coming for a short visit on the 26th or not. They invited themselves over a month ago but haven't returned calls since to confirm. I don't much care one way or the other; all I know is that my darling
beowabbit is coming the same day!
Gotta go, one computer for 3 people isn't enough.
