White House Veggies
Mar. 21st, 2009 09:40 amI am unreasonably excited about the Obama's victory garden. 70 kinds of vegetables (including arugula)! Berry bushes! Bee hives! I'll look forward to seeing pictures of their bounty. And the girls can learn valuable gardening skills, the likes of which I do not possess.
Would that my yards were fit for vegetable gardening. The back yard is in full-time shade and is just a dirt pit, and the front yard is where I grow copious weeds (and a handful of wildflowers). I could bucket garden on the balcony, I think. And Somerville has community gardens. I should look into those.
