Connectivity Issues
Jun. 11th, 2009 10:52 amThis will be the most boring post ever posted to LiveJournal, so you should instead go read and comment on this.
My wireless router has been borking my two computers for months, and I'm done with it. Last night I yet again had no connectivity on either computer, but
vanguardcdk was having no troubles on his so it wasn't our ISP, and I knew it wasn't my computers. With his help I jacked my little Linux box into his router which has served us well for years, and presto, I was connected at normal speed again for the first time since the wireless went in. We both agreed that we have no pressing need for wireless in the house at this time. So since I have only one ethernet cable, I have connectivity on the Linux laptop but not the big Dell. But tomorrow (payday) I will order a second ethernet cable, bringing my world effectively back to normal.
