Lions Live!

I am gobsmacked and air-kicking squeeful that the Hovey Players picked my 10-minute play "Dan in the Lions' Den" to be produced in their Summer Shorts Festival! Local playwrights are their theme this year, but I'm surprised to have gotten picked because this region is dense with brilliant and frequently-produced playwrights. Also, Hovey is in its 76th season, and I'm humbled to be produced by a community theatre that's so deeply established. I don't even write all that much -- I wrote this for Theatre@First and was lucky it got picked the first time -- and I submitted it to Hovey on a lark. I can't believe someone other-than-my-friends is going to produce something I wrote! And I can't wait to see what the director does with it.
