The Seashell Resort
Jun. 2nd, 2012 11:51 amHere we are in Dennisport, Cape Cod.
beowabbit and I got here yesterday around dinnertime and had a great time at the opening night of Relaxacon playing an audacious card game called Cards Against Humanity (it's not really against humanity, just shockingly funny). Thank you to
surrealestate for suggesting we come here!
Weather is not on our side this weekend. It's cold and rainy and very windy, too much so to spend time on the cute little beach right behind our hotel. Right now we just finished a breakfast of berries and Asian rice cracker mix, tucked away safely in our warm room before heading back to the con later.
But we have a pet-friendly and very enjoyable hotel to recommend for our friends who travel with pets! This is the Seashell Resort, and critters are welcome. There's even a resident bulldog named Rosie. Our room is lovely, with a screened in porch, plenty of room, a full bath, free coffee and wifi, a private beach and loaner chairs and beach umbrellas for warmer days than this, use of a BBQ grill, and a big enough fridge that you could bring all your own food and not have to spend money in restaurants at all if you don't want to. Dennispost, MA is lovely from what we've seen so far. All for $104 per night. We'll be back.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!
