Fun Weekend

beowabbit and I saw Cabin In The Woods this past weekend. I'd seen the trailer and was prepared to think it was the dumbest movie I'd ever seen, but I was equally prepared to be really badly scared because someone on my f'list was. Pleasantly, I was wrong on both counts. It's was actually quite awesome, and enjoyable as much for the comedy as for the startle-scares throughout. It didn't give me nightmares, but rather sent both of us a-geeking on IMDB and elsewhere. There's very little I can say about it without spoiling (which is why the trailer is so lame), but it turned out to be one of those rare movies that I want to see again. Four thumbs up.

We also got to do some socializing at two different parties, and that was very nice. Then Wabbit dropped me home so I could do my homework. Great weekend, in all!
