Pride was wonderful yesterday. The colors, the music -- it has become one of my favorite events of the year. Not wearing a jacket was a big mistake, so I had to buy a tourist sweatshirt from a vendor ([livejournal.com profile] pheromone later commented that it was too big for me, though it was only a size Medium. She said it was "hip-hop Medium"). I marched in the parade with several other Firsties, and was glad we were representing in this year's festivities. When we reached the end, I doubled back a few blocks to watch the rest of the parade. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit and hung out with varoius friends, then headed back to my house for a short nap. We need it, in order to spend a delightful, delicious, delovely evening with [livejournal.com profile] dan4th and [livejournal.com profile] dabunny. Yay!

This morning we finally used the Johnny D's gift certificate I got from [livejournal.com profile] rcdf and [livejournal.com profile] strangeanimal for cat-sitting, like two years ago. (Thanks you guys!) I came home and tended m'wildflowers, but there are many a mile yet to go today. I have T@F Steering Committee at 4:00, and studio recording of Red Shift tonight, which could go late.

In the immortal words of Google, "I Feel Lucky." I really, truly do. :-)

I'm glad you had fun! I would love to go to Boston's Pride some year. We think this year is going to be the last for my local Pride event. :(

Why no more local Pride event in your area?

The person who has been organizing it the last two years or so is really unorganized. This year, they pushed it back by two months and they haven't even officially announced the date. The only reason I found out is that my dad's chorus was asked to sing, so I know the date. But the whole thing is so disorganized that unless someone who can actually do it steps up, it's going under.

I bet there are great Pride festivals in Florida (I'm thinking Miami's would be fabulous!)
