Still Here

I'm alive, if not kicking. I'm so glad I stayed home from work today. I hope I didn't inconvenience anybody at the office, but I'm only human and need to take care of myself.

I haven't been in as much pain today. I feel sort of brittle, though, like at any moment I could move the wrong way and throw out my back further. I'm loooking forward to tonight's show Anyway. I might not be up for the outing afterwards, but it'll be good to see everybody after a day of being home.

I'm going to try lillibet's chiropractor. Because my insurance is new and I just picked my PCP and couldn't get a new-patient appointment with her until September 4. So I don't actually have a doctor of my own until then.

Your insurance won't let you see someone until after your new-patient visit? Dammit, that sucks. :(

I could tgo to the ER if I had to, but they won't do chiro in the ER, which is really what I need.

Well, I think you probably need an MD and appropriate drugs as well, but I'm glad you're finally doing something because I want to see you bouncing around again soon. *hugs*

(And yeah, having the only option be the ER is seriously sucky. Don't you love the healthcare system?)

Mass General has a walk in clinic. You dont need an appointment or a referral from your own doctor and they are open on Saturday as well as weekdays. It's a lot better - and much faster - than the ER. Also, the doctor spends more time with you there.
