A Mellow Sunday Yard Sale

I had a small yard sale yesterday. I only brought in about $70, but my main goal was to clear up space in my tiny overcrowded apartment, and I did succeed in that respect. The hardest part was hauling all those boxes down three floors in the swelter of our stairwell (always about 15 degrees hotter or colder than the apartments themselves) and the early birds who came well before the 9:00 AM start time were annoying, but once everything was brought down and set up, it was nice to spend the whole day on the porch reading and meeting people from the CraigsList and LJ ads, as well as people from the neighborhood who wandered by.
The silver tea set didn't sell, but I'm actually glad because after visiting the antiques booth Friday night in the South End, I'm certain I can get much more than the $200 I was asking if I go though a reliable antique dealer or auction.
I was feeling a little under the weather all weekend, and unfortunately I ended up missing 2 parties (sorry
desultor. I heard it was fun). I went to bed early both Saturday and Sunday nights. Last night my mom called after I had fallen asleep, and I fumbled the phone off the hook while three-quarters asleep and wailed "MOM JESUS IT'S 4:30 IN THE MORNING!!" (it was only 9:30 PM. Poor Mom.)
A very busy week ahead, culminating in NYC for the weekend. I'm now glad it fell through last month, since now we can go this month and enjoy much more time outdoors if the skies stay clear. Squeee!
