Basically every minute of my time is booked now through next Monday. It's as if the activities of a full calendar year are all shoved into September, October, November, and December. It's like this every year.

When the schedule gets this tight, I start feeling upset and nervous. It's great having plenty to do, but it's not great missing out on other events due to the logistical impossibility of attending 5 or 6 parties/activities in one night. Where were all these things during the summer when it was dead as a morgue? If you look at my DayMinder, every single day has at least 2 functions/rehearsals/whatever on it, not even counting work (which is being a monumental pain in the ass these days). But flip back to July and it was one empty square after another.

I didn't expect to, but I think I'll feel a bit of relief when the play and cabaret are over. I haven't had a proper sit-down meal in a month. I eat on the T between one commitment and the next, or sneak in bites of something pre-packaged while simultaneously getting dressed, doing my hair, dealing with e-mail, etc. Everyone needs work from me, and they need it now.

Wow. Someone needs a nap. As if I'll get it. If I can manage 10 minutes between the commute home and performance call to dash home and feed the cats, I'll be lucky (and so will the cats).

I feel overwhelmed and upset/nervous when I get really busy like that, too.

I feel like I'm personally subsidizing the makers of Pringles, various soft drinks, and, of course, East Asia. My body will feel a lot healthier once this play is over!
