The New and The Old

plumtreeblossomIt turns out that through work, I can get a discounted calling plan with my new cell phone. That works for me. I won't be getting it set up until next week, so until them I'm landline only. Not that it matters this weekend since alla y'all geeks will be at Arisia anyway. I'll post the new number when I get it.
I wonder where my old phone is? I've called it a few times to see if anyone answers, but no one does. I lost it somewhere between home and work, which is rather vast ground. This is irrational, but I feel sorry for it and feel somewhat guilty, like a milder version of how someone would feel for a lost pet. It's exists somewhere out there in the world. But the poor old thing is 6 years old (That's 105 in phone-years). I bought it for myself as my 36th birthday present. It loyally stuck by me even though I've needed to replaced it for years. It's amazing that it still works at all. Poor thing, it's probably so bewildered, and confused...
Oy. Someone needs less coffee.
