Yummmmy Thai lunch on Newbury Street today. Petey's in town, and it was so nice to see him and catch up. He's one of those people whose personality has seemed to intensify as the years go by, rather than mellow. He's more him-ish every year, and I love it. He's my longest-standing friend, which is to say, he's the one who's been able to stand me for the most number of years. We're like cousins, with the exception that I do look back fondly on our long-ago sexual involvement, which is not a very cousinly thing to think about. But, awesome lunch and catch-up chatter.

So I finally got a break from my irksome recurring dream.(squiggle fade to dream) ... I was newly moving to the Boston area from far away, setting up all my furniture inside Faneuil Hall in an "apartment" designated by a ring of food court chairs. Tourists freely moved among my things and strolled through my space with their ice cream and fried clams. I was taking a breather on my bed when I suddenly remembered that I already had an apartment in the area, and that I'd somehow forgotten about it and abandoned my two cats on poor [livejournal.com profile] vanguardcdk who might have moved away by now and oh shit how could that apartment have slipped my mind?

I love when my sleeping brain chooses to entertain me.

I have had a similar recurring dream where I keep forgetting I was renting a house elsewhere and had forgotten it for like 18 months...

I've had dreams where I had a brother or sister that I'd forgotten I had. Not long-lost, just slipped my mind that they existed. :-)
