Tomorrow...New York with Johnnycat! I can't wait. We haven't seen each other since the Mojave trip in 2004. Finally, we're hitting an East Coast destination.

It's going to be cooooold. Poor Johnny of LA, who says "I'll be fine in my leather jacket." Right. I'm packing a spare fleece. Hope it fits him.

We need indoor things to do. Aside from tourist blech, what are some indoor outings you would suggest (not counting the been-to multiple times ones like MoMA, Gugg, Cloisters, Jewish Museum, etc.)? Would love to hear some of your foul weather favorites... weird is good, too.

I don't know if they're still doing the New Amsterdam tours, but I really enjoyed that. And the Museum of the Moving Image in Brooklyn was nifty.

Have you been to the Natural History Museum there yet? It's really very nice. They even have a life-size blue whale model hanging from the ceiling. :)

Oh yeah, that's where I go to kill time if I'm there on business or something. It's way cool.

I always miss the cats so much when I'm away!

The Museum of the City of New York rawks. Kat and I had a fantastic time there last December when the Met was crazy crowded with Christmas tourists (among whose numbers we might, it must be admitted, legitimately be counted).
