In The Guts of The Women of Canterbury

Rehearsal last night revealed that we are actually further along than I thought, which was reassuring. We got through all seven sections off-book and with a fair approximation of the blocking; more than we've accomplished up to this point. As I said to the chorus last night, if we all drill our lines individually with the CD every day until opening, we can nail this text.

Props to gilana for kicking my ass in the memorization department. She and her iPod have worked a miracle for the rest of us to live up to. Everyone is doing a remarkable job with such tough material. Like the notorious Philip Glass Buys A Loaf Of Bread before this, I'm sensing that the impossible might just happen again.

Off to an all-division meeting that will last several hours.
