Last night I joined the festivities at [livejournal.com profile] pheromone's birthday bash. Her house was filled with tropically-clad beautiful boys and girls, intriguing conversation was had, and the cloven orange game broke much ice. The cake was good, but the kisses were better.

That's a very surface description. I had an extremely meaningful conversation with a beautiful and deeply spiritual woman that was like a warm breath of summer. I don't want to recount it, but I'm very grateful and wish her blessings and happiness always.

So, I still want to see Polar Express at the 3D Imax Aquarium. I seem to remember others being interested, too. I'll go if even one other person comes along, but the more the merrier. How about Wednesday evening?

Why didn't anyone thump me on the head and and say "You need to listen to Trans-Siberian Orchestra?" I've known their name for years and only just this week bought one of their earlier CDs (Beethoven's Last Night). I haven't finished reading the liner notes, but now all I want is to see it staged. I love it in the same way I love the JCS original concept album, the kind you know end to end and sing drunkenly with your theatre friends until beaten bloody. It's that, crossed with Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell crossed with Danny Elfman on the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack crossed by Andrew Lloyd Webber's tortured twin.

I'm all over it. :-)
