Lamb and Talking Birds
Feb. 16th, 2006 05:23 pmThank you to
n0ire for the lovely little dinner get-together last night, where I got to meet her friend
marius23 and dine with two very fascinating new feathered friends.
She made a savory lamb stew served over noodles, salad served in glass bowls she made herself, and sinfully rich cookies -- a truly memorable meal from someone who says she "hates to cook" but did a damned impressive job, in my book. We humans drank wine and rambled through many topics, and the birds joined us right at the table with their own dishes. One of them also helped himself to
n0ire's dinner straight from her plate. I never knew birds liked human food, but he was all over those noodles. :-)
Many thanks to all last night for the merry dinner. Soon one of these days I'm going to have to repay the hospitality and host a dinner myself.
