Time will tell if my energy level lets me go shopping for summer-weight business clothes after work tonight. I have plenty of business clothes but they're mostly wintery apparel -- turtlenecks, blazers, long velvet skirts, etc. I can't keep wearing the same few lighter-weight things.

I'm not the kind of girl who squees over clothes shopping. I have atypical proportions, which mandates trying everything on; I can't just shop by size. It's hard work, and except in rare cases where I see something I adore, it's also a system of compromises.

But what is with the nauseating colors I'm seeing in stores this year? Hot pink, salmon, poison lime green, safety orange... walk through a store and it's like a chromatic bitchslap.

I wear black, or deep jewel tones. I don't wear pastel other than gray, and I only occasionally wear primary colors. I certainly don't wear those neon atrocities. The corporate goth look is surprisingly easy to put together, provided you can find the sedate colors for it. It'll be quite a wild goose chase if I decide to go a'hunting for clothes tonight.

My thoughts are with my darling [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit, who has an important doctor's appointment today. Good health energy to you, sweetie... *kiss*
