Today I started walking for 45 minutes on my lunch hour, which will be the plan each and every lunch hour until there is 10 pounds less of me. I thought it would be nice to amble around the neighborhood near my workplace, and I set out looking for the shady side of the street.
The answer to the question "Did you find the shady side of the street?" would be "There isn't one." In this area of Cambridge, the trees are small and sparse, compared to the mighty oaks of The 'Ville. I scurried like a vampire to the mall to walk laps, up on the 2nd level where I'm out of the way.
Over the past week my eating habits/practices have changed radically, reflecting my repentance from eee-vile. Hummus is my new BFF and I eat it every day. Lean Cuisines replace Wendy's. I get 89-calorie smoothies as a treat/dessert every day. Goddess have mercy, I have temporarily given up cheese (except low-fat cottage cheese).
It would be patently silly to chronicle "My Weight Loss Journey" for 10 lousy pounds. It cracks me up to think of "I went from a size 10 all the way to a size 8, and you can too!" or "How I lowered my BMI from 24 to 22.5!" You probably won't hear any more dieting meta until I post a picture of myself in my skinny jeans, signaling that I'm done. I just felt like talking about it today, because I'm such a very good girl.
