Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit used our Museum of Science membership to enjoy a few lovely hours there. We need to do this more often, as admission to the regular halls is free and admission to certain special attractions are almost fre. We enjoyed (well, I enjoyed; Wabbit was meh about) the children's 3D animated film Fly Me To The Moon, which we had thought was going to be more hard science, having not seen a poster. We also got to explore the delightful Butterfly Garden, where butterflies of many kinds flew all around us. Our empty stomachs led us to the food court, and by the time we were done, alas, the museum was closing (a large party that we think was a wedding was assembling in the lobby, possibly having rented it for the evening).

When we left it had stopped raining, so we decided to walk to our dinner destination, which was a dinner gathering organized by [livejournal.com profile] anomie666 at Ronnarong in Union Square. [livejournal.com profile] surrealestate, [livejournal.com profile] ron_newman and others were there, and the food and conversation were great. Then it was home to tasty bourbon and sweet, sweet sleep!

Very special congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] surrealestate and [livejournal.com profile] anomie666, who just finished a 26 mile charity walk for cancer research and treatment. They walked from Hopkinton MA back to Boston, all today. I've been to Hopkinton once for a gig. It was such a long car ride that I was at the "Are we there yet?" stage at only half-way there. These folks hoofed it, and raised a lot of money, to boot.

They'll both be doing fundraising walks like this again, and I'll be pimping their cause. I'll use [livejournal.com profile] anomie666's favorite of my icons to illustrate what I did all day, but I salute you both from my desk chair.

GREAT WORK, [livejournal.com profile] anomie666 and [livejournal.com profile] surrealestate!
