White Girls Are Delicious

The boyz from Philadelphia flipped my musical theatre "ON" button last night, which has been dormant for a while. They both have beautiful singing voices – really beautiful – and we belted Godspell until duly reprimanded (sorry muffyjo!) It made me miss those old college days of Cole Porter, Rogers & Hammerstein, Sondheim, and of course Stephen Schwartz. Kerri suggested karaoke at the cast party, so more fine voices may just emerge from the woodwork. It makes me think that one day T@F could indeed do a musical. Watch out.

Wearing my all-white "mod" mini-dress costume is so much fun that it feels fetishy. I don’t own a single white article of clothing in my own wardrobe and haven’t for over a decade, so there’s a thrill of unfamiliarity there. I had to ‘specially buy a white bra and satiny white panties (peek-a-boo!), since all my own dainties are either black or some shade of leopard or neon. I feel so innocent and pure in it. I’m going to wear that costume out to a club, I swear I am.

It's time to start planning for my China trip, which is going to happen in November. Yes, Beijing in November will be cold, I know, but it's cold here too then and I'd rather be cold there than here. Between now and September I have about $1000 worth of items I need to sell to have enough money to do this. Must get on that right after this week.

There is a plan B in the unfortunate event that I come up too short on funds -- Iceland. Why? Northern Lights. Hot springs. Oh yeaaah.
