This is a survey/poll inspired by a very similar one conducted by [livejournal.com profile] dan4th yesterday. It inspired such fascinating dialogue among his readers that I asked to borrow it so I can do the same with my readership.

So, I'd like to hear about about any opinions/beliefs you have that you generally prefer to keep to yourself, due to the reaction of your friends, colleagues, etc. It might be un-PC, or overbearingly PC, or out of allignment with your community's way of thinking.

Some possible examples:
"People who practice BDSM were probably abused"
"children really do need male and female parents"
"It's okay to eat dog"

Sorry, I had to delete this and start over because of too many typos. If you responded before, please respond again.

"Nother addendum -- to answer more than once you have to log out and do it anonymously. Otherwise it just overwrites your first answer.

I didn’t think you could take polls anonymously. Am I wrong?

This poll you can. I set it that way.

There seems to be a problem with multiple submissions, though. If you've already posted one, it seems to track your IP and if you answer again, even anonymously and logged out, and it only changes your old answer to your new one instead of adding the new one in addition to the old one. I want people to be able to post as many as they want, but I'm not sure how to make it do that...

I think it requires that you A) select "anybody" for who can answer the poll, and B) have "allow anonymous comments" on your general LJ setting.

This is still actually theory though because so far nobody has replied anonymously.

I am always amused and confused when things migrate from one set of LJ contacts to another. I graduated from college with the original creator of this poll. Small world.

Another testament to the awesomeness of LJ. :-)

You should post those in the poll (which I'll be turning into a click-poll later). You can do it anonymously. Or I can add them for you. I screened your replies above so as not to let folks see them until the click-poll goes up.

Women's sports is, by and large, really boring to watch.

Private businesses should be allowed to purchase smoking licenses (like liquor licenses) to allow their patrons to consume tobacco products on premises.
