Tummy

For several days I've had a somewhat upset stomach. Or rather, a hyper-sensitive stomach that's reacting badly to foods that normally don't bother it. I feel queezy if I eat any food that is too cold, too salty, too sweet, or too crunchy-textured (like popcorn). But it's also upset if it's empty, so I have to eat something. It's going to get some plain rice in a little while. Unusual though. Hope it clears up soon. This no way for a gourmand to live.

Are you by any chance pregnant? This isn't meant to be snarky - picky nausea with the need to have the stomach carrying something...

Good lord, no. I'm on birth control pills, use condoms 100% of the time, and am older than the very solar system itself. You'd need a firehose and a swimming pool full of sperm to get me pregnant, I expect.

Speaking of gourmands. Or at least, extravagant consumption. :-)

Sounds like a relatively high-budget porn film, beyond Japanese and way out there into German. :-)

I have been having digestion and allergy problems for years, which got worse when my job stress peaked. When things didn't get better after I stopped working, I went to an acupuncturist. Mostly for my sense of smell.

Well, it's been a couple months now, and I'm nearly a believer. My digestion is happier, my appetite(s) are tremendous, and almost everything smells like it's supposed to. It wasn't a quick fix; I didn't just start to feel better, it took a couple weeks at least, but it really seems to have worked.

So, you might consider giving that a try.

I can also recommend the Yogi Tea "Stomach Ease" tea. Very gently flavoured with liquorice, and it does help.

Really? I've always been so skeptical about acupuncture, but in actuality I don't know very much about it. It does make me curious, hearing you say it's working for you....

I wonder if you're getting a bout of IBS. It happened to me when I was overly stressed and not eating enough fruit and veg.

Feel better soooon!

Sorry about the upset tummy. On the one hand, there seems to be something going around, and on the other, you’ve been under a lot of stress lately. Anyway, hope it’s better soon! *Kiss!*
