She's Got a Ticket To Ride
Aug. 10th, 2004 11:21 amI found a $71 combo T-pass on the ground this morning. I looked but didn't see anyone frantically searching their person for it. I would have turned it in to the MBTA if the owner had signed the back, but without a signature, the MBTA will not return it to anyone (I learned this first-hand a few years back). So, having no way to trace the owner, I kept it.
I already have a subway pass, but now I have free access to the commuter rail for the rest of the month. I never really ride the commuter rail, but since I have this, I might as well use it.
What are some interesting things worth visiting on the commuter rail?

Date: 2004-08-10 08:52 am (UTC)As far as exotic locations on the Commuter Rail go, you won't be able to see the world, but you could get to Porter. The Combo pass will cover fare zones 1A and 1B -- that means you can go as far north as scenic Malden or even West Medford, or as far south as Forest Hills. Check the poorly-designed MBTA Commuter Rail zone page to see which ports-of-call you might find yourself, uh, training to soon!
