Date: 2007-07-02 12:56 am (UTC)Now for the hard part about growing things from seed...
You have to imagine them as healthy adult plants and thin them out enough so that each one has sufficient room to become what you imagine. There are two ways to go about this:
1) Laboriously transplant little seedlings to make more room for the ones you leave in place and a bigger flower bed from the ones you move. Difficult and back-breaking work. Alas, no matter how careful you are, there will be a fairly high mortality rate among the transplants.
2) Pick the healthiest looking ones and pull out the ones around them (with tears in your eyes) and toss 'em like weeds.

Date: 2007-07-02 08:46 pm (UTC)My best guess is that you mean Canon PowerShot S2. One of which just sold for $220 on ebay. Look like this? http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canons2is/page2.asp
The 12x zoom is still impressive.
